My Room – Luke Hodge, Ambassador
Hawthorn’s AFL Star, Luke Hodge is the ambassador for ‘My Room’, the organisation which raises funds for the Children’s Cancer Centre.
Not many things rattle Luke Hodge. Playing hurt, playing with taggers, playing on the biggest stage. He does it all every week without flinching.
But a tour of the Children’s Cancer Centre at the Royal Children’s Hospital made him flinch.
Later he talked about the hospital experience as “putting everything into perspective”.
As promoted on last night’s Channel 9’s AFL Footy Show Stars are ‘Giving Cancer the Boot for Children’ to help raise funds for the Children’s Cancer Centre at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
See footy show celebrities, Aussie Footy Stars, and Legends walk from Melbourne to Yering via Melbourne’s best Pubs (ALH Venues) (hope Billy will be there) in an effort to raise money for my room Childrens Cancer Centre .
Starting 11th September at 9.30 am at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne, the touring team will be accompanied by a convoy of local supporters whose aim is to raise much needed funds towards the needs of the Children’s Cancer Centre at the hospital.
Yering Family Fun Day at Yering Station. Sunday 13 September 11am – 4pm. 500 tickets only – $18 Child $25 Adult. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets. Please state number required in the message field. Tickets will be posted.
