Happy Father’s Day – Prostate Cancer
September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. In Australia, September also means Father’s Day, football finals, and end of season sports club gatherings – all great reasons to have a BBQ.
As you celebrate with your Grandfather, Husband, Partner, Dad, Uncle, Brother or Boyfriend, remind them of how important they are to you and remember to go for a test.
While prostate cancer is a male disease, its effect is far reaching. Wives and partners, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, grandchildren and friends – all are impacted by a diagnosis of prostate cancer. This is why a BBQ for Prostate Cancer is a great reason to get everyone involved.
If September doesn’t suit, plan an event for another time, you can host a BBQ for Prostate Cancer whenever you like. Thyey are suggesting a BBQ – but if that isn’t suitable, it could be anything that brings people together. You may like a theme, or to include it as part of a sporting finals event. If you’re organising the event in memory of a loved one, how about linking it to one of their interests?
